Metro Concession Terms

  

I. Bus-Metro Concession Terms

1. Rules

(1) Public transportation card holders are entitled to RMB1 reduction according to the Bus-Metro concession terms when the time from the previous bus POS machine to the metro POS machine is within 120 minutes.

(2) Except the cards of other cities and provinces, public transportation cards are subject to the Bus-Metro concession terms.

2. Circumstances beyond the entitlement to the concession terms are mainly as follows:

(1) When the time from the previous bus POS equipment to the metro POS equipment is beyond 120 minutes or Public transportation card POS equipments fail to work proper, you can check whether the time from the previous bus POS equipment to the metro POS equipment is within 120 minutes.

(2) The cards of other cities and provinces are not under the umbrella of the Bus-Metro concession terms.

(3) Metro-Metro transfer is not entitled to the concession terms.

 

II. Concession terms for public transportation cards with more than cumulative RMB70

1. Rules

(1) Concession terms shall apply when public transportation cards are more than RMB70 cumulatively, with a 10% discount of the total charge, i.e. the actual sum of charge is 90% of the original charge.

(2) Except the cards of other cities and provinces, public transportation cards are entitled to the cumulative RMB70 concession terms.

2. Attentions for Cumulative Concession Terms

(1) Cumulative concession terms counts from the first RMB70 discount, and the cumulative amount shall be cleared from the first charge of next month to recalculate the cumulative limit of the month.

E.g.: When a card holder with the cumulative charge of the month at RMB67 takes 3-yuan metro trip, he shall be entitled to the concession terms, with the actual charge sum of 3 * 0.9 = RMB2.7.

(2) Cumulative concession terms can be manually reset on the BOM, that is, when the cumulative amount is cleared due to equipment failure, the cumulative amount to RMB70 of the same month can be reset on the BOM. In other words, a card holder is entitled to the full RMB70 cumulative concession terms.

 

III. Outbound Transfer

1. Rules

(1) Public transportation card holders, who transfer passenger rail station in Shanghai three outbound transfer stations, are entitled to a continuous fare within 30 minutes intervals from station transfer, i.e., fares can be calculated continuously when traveling different routes from one station to another station.

(2) One-way ticket passengers out of the station are required to buy tickets and are not entitled to the Outbound Transfer Concession Terms.

(3) Shanghai rail outbound transfer stations are as follows:

Metro Line 1 South Shaanxi Road and Metro Line 10 South Shaanxi Road

Metro Line 3/4 Shanghai Railway Station and Metro Line 1 Shanghai Railway Station

Metro Line 2 Hongqiao Terminal 2 and Metro Line 2 Hongqiao Terminal 2.

(4) Except the cards of other cities and provinces, public transportation cards are entitled to the subway station transfer.

2. Attentions for transfer station debit

(1) Transfer debit shall work on the second transfer by deducting the actual fare of the first transfer from the total fares.

E.g.: a particular sequence out of the station: Station A in, Station B out, Station C in, Station D out, involving four stations, where B and C as a transfer station site, the debit order is the fares between A-B transfer station, after the transfer of B and C, the debit amount of Station D is [A-D fares - (A-B) debit the amount].

(2) Outbound transfer passengers, who meet the transfer concession terms or cumulative concession terms, are entitled to both concession terms for continuous fare.
